Daily WordPress Post + Zoom Meeting with WhatsApp Handoff

Every morning it publishes the day's WordPress article, opens a matching Zoom session, and texts the post link plus join URL to the team over WhatsApp.

Why use it

Every morning starts the same way: someone has to log into WordPress and hit publish on the post that was queued the night before, then open Zoom and spin up the day's session, then copy both links into the team chat so writers, hosts and moderators know what's live and where to show up. It takes fifteen minutes of clicking before real work starts, and the moment the person who normally does it is sick, travelling or just slow to coffee, the post goes out late, the meeting room doesn't exist, and half the team is asking in the group where the link is.

How it works

  1. 1At the same time every morning the whole sequence kicks off on its own — nobody has to remember, open a laptop or be first online.
  2. 2WordPress publishes the day's article, so the post is live on the site before anyone asks about it.
  3. 3Zoom creates a matching meeting for that day and returns a fresh join link, so there's a real room waiting instead of a recycled one.
  4. 4WhatsApp, through WhatsScale, sends the team a message containing the published post link and the Zoom join URL together, so everyone gets both in the place they already check.

Questions

Which article gets published — does it pick one from my drafts?

The flow creates the post with the content you configure in the WordPress step. If you want a different article each day, that step is where you feed in the title and body, typically from whatever source you already write in, rather than the automation guessing from your drafts folder.

Can the WhatsApp message go to a group instead of individual people?

Yes. The message step sends to whatever recipient you configure, so it can be a team group chat or one or more individual numbers. Many teams point it at a single internal group so nobody has to forward the links on.

What happens on weekends and holidays when nobody is meeting?

The trigger fires every day as configured, so if you don't want weekend runs you should either narrow the schedule or disable the flow on those days. It has no built-in holiday calendar and will happily publish and create a Zoom room on a Sunday.

Do I have to apply for WhatsApp Business API access first?

No. WhatsScale connects a WhatsApp number you already have, so there's no application process or approval wait before the message step will send. You link the number and the flow can start messaging.

Will the Zoom link be different every day?

Yes. A new meeting is created on each run, so the join URL in the WhatsApp message is the one for that day's session rather than a permanent personal room that anyone could wander into.

What if WordPress fails to publish — does the team still get a message?

The steps run in order, so a failure at the publishing stage stops the run before the Zoom room and the message are created. You'll want to watch your run history for the first week so you notice a silent morning quickly.
