Google Calendar Event Reminder

Each morning it pulls the events sitting on your Google Calendar and pushes them to you on WhatsApp as a single agenda message.

Why use it

Your day is already booked before you look at it. The calendar tab is buried, the desktop notification fires five minutes before a call you needed twenty minutes to prepare for, and by the time you open the app you've missed the double-booking at 2pm. You check your phone constantly, but you check WhatsApp — not a calendar. So meetings arrive as surprises, prep happens in the corridor, and clients hear the pause where a prepared answer should have been.

How it works

  1. 1Every morning at the hour you pick, the run starts on its own — no app to open and nothing to remember.
  2. 2Google Calendar is queried for the events on your calendar for the day, with their times and titles collected together.
  3. 3That agenda is sent to you on WhatsApp as one text message, so the whole day arrives in the chat app you already have open.

What it connects

Questions

What time does the message arrive?

You set the hour on the daily schedule when you install the template. Most people pick something before their first meeting — 7am or 8am — so there is time to prepare or move things around.

What happens on a day with no meetings?

The calendar step simply comes back with nothing, and the message goes out with an empty agenda. If you would rather stay silent on quiet days, add a condition after the calendar step that stops the run when no events were found.

Can it read more than one calendar?

The template pulls from a single calendar that you choose when connecting Google Calendar. If you keep work and personal separate, duplicate the template and point the copy at the second calendar, or consolidate by sharing one into the other in Google Calendar first.

Can I send the agenda to someone else, like an assistant or a partner?

Yes. The recipient number on the WhatsApp step is just a field — set it to whoever should get the agenda. Duplicating the last step lets the same morning summary reach two people.

Does it warn me right before each individual meeting?

No. This is one summary message per day covering everything on the calendar. Per-event alerts a few minutes ahead are a different pattern and are not part of this flow.

Will events I add later in the day show up?

Not in that morning's message. The calendar is read once, at the scheduled time, so anything booked afterwards appears in tomorrow's agenda instead.
